EW Systems Are Becoming Faster, Smarter, and More Connected

Electronic Warfare (EW) is evolving quickly. Modern platforms in the air, at sea, or on land, are gathering and sharing more data more than ever before. These systems need to capture, process, and act on information at high speed and with absolute precision.

At Daqscribe, we design the data recording and playback technology that makes that possible.

From Signals to Insight

Today’s EW and radar systems face growing demands for bandwidth, data storage, and distributed communication. Instead of isolated sensors, operators now rely on connected networks of platforms that share engagement data in real time.

That shift requires new recording architectures—ones that can handle massive data streams without missing a beat. Daqscribe’s approach combines high-throughput Ethernet recording with compact, powerful RF processing to meet those needs.

In short: We make it easier to record, replay, and share mission-critical signal data, no matter the environment.

Ethernet as the Backbone

Ethernet has become the preferred interface for high-speed data recording and transmission. Compared to older standards, Ethernet provides:

  • Speed – from 10 GbE up to 100 GbE and beyond
  • Scalability – supports multi-node architectures and long cable runs
  • Affordability – lower integration cost than custom links like Infiniband or PCIe
  • Interoperability – plug-and-play connectivity between platforms

This flexibility allows Daqscribe systems to integrate seamlessly into existing EW, radar, and telemetry setups, while future-proofing them for tomorrow’s data rates.

Inside the Architecture

Daqscribe’s IQ Data Recorder combines two key components that work together to capture and move large volumes of RF data:

MDR Carbon100

The compact CARBON100 Ethernet data recorder, capable of 100 GbE streaming and storage

A compact, high-speed Ethernet recorder capable of 100 GbE streaming and storage. Ideal for real-time recording, playback, and data offload applications.

RFSoC4x2

A Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC development platform integrating:

  • 4-channel ADCs (5 GSPS)
  • 2-channel DACs (9.8 GSPS)
  • Onboard FPGA logic and ARM processing for signal processing and system control

Together, they form a flexible record-and-respond platform that bridges high-speed RF conversion with reliable Ethernet data transport.

How It Works

When a signal event occurs:

  • Record – The MDR Carbon100 captures the incoming RF data at full bandwidth.
  • React – The RFSoC processes the signal through DSP algorithms to identify or analyze patterns.
  • Respond – The system can replay, spoof, or share the data across connected assets via high-speed Ethernet.

This workflow supports both real-time operations and post-mission analysis, giving teams insight into every captured signal.

AI and Collaborative Defense

Modern EW increasingly depends on AI and machine learning to recognize and adapt to new signal environments.

Daqscribe’s systems support that evolution by providing the data pipeline AI needs; high-resolution recordings for training, fast playback for simulation, and Ethernet connectivity for shared datasets across ships, aircraft, and command centers.

By turning raw RF data into accessible digital intelligence, Daqscribe helps teams close the loop between collection, analysis, and response.

Designed for Prototyping and Deployment

The RFSoC4x2 and MDR Carbon100 can be used independently or as part of a scalable recording setup. Whether you’re testing algorithms in the lab or deploying systems in the field, these tools provide the same high performance and reliability.

  • Affordable entry point for RF development
  • Compact form factor suitable for embedded applications
  • Scalable storage and bandwidth options

Explore Daqscribe’s Ethernet Data Recorders

Electronic warfare, radar, and spectrum analysis systems all share one thing in common: the need for more data, delivered faster. Daqscribe’s Ethernet-based recorders are built to handle that demand—bridging the gap between raw signal capture and intelligent response.

If you’re building next-generation systems that depend on speed, synchronization, and scalability, we’d love to talk.
